STM-3™ Metal Treatment Dosage

Diesel Engines

1-2 cylinder - add 2 oz. (59  ml) of STM-3™ (eg. small Hatz engines etc.)

2-4 cylinder - add 4 oz. (118 ml) of STM-3™ (eg. Case backhoe engines, small excavators etc.)

4-8 cylinder - add 6 oz. (177 ml) of STM-3™ (eg. Diesel pickups etc.)

Semi Trucks - add 16 oz. (473 ml) of STM-3™

Bulldozer Engines - add 16 oz. (473 ml)  of STM-3™

Final Drives - add 25 - 50% of oil volume

50 hp. and up - add an extra 2 oz. (59 ml) of STM-3™ for every 50 hp. up to a maximum of 16 oz. (473 ml)

Gas Engines

Small 1-2 cylinder - add 2 capfuls of STM-3™ to crankcase oil.

4-8 Cylinder - add 2 oz. (59 ml) of STM-3™ to crankcase oil

 2 Cycle - add 1 capful to fuel tank (mix well) and operate immediately, then 1 capful for every 1 gallon of fuel (3.75 liters). NOTE: CermaGuard does NOT replace 2 cycle oil !!! but mixes with fuel.  Tip :Try a few drops on the bar and chain oil of your chainsaw - Awesome !

Hydraulics

1-20 gallons - (3.75 - 75 liters) add 2 oz. (59 ml) of STM-3™

20-40 gallons - (75 - 150 liters) add 4 oz. (118 ml) of STM-3™

60 gallons and up - (150 liters and up) add 6 oz. (177 ml) of STM-3™

Gearboxes- add 25 - 50% of oil volume of STM-3™. (eg. if gearbox holds 1 liter of gear oil - add 8 oz. (250ml) - 16 oz. (500ml) of STM-3™. 2 oz. (59 ml) being the absolute minimum dosage. Gearboxes can not be overdosed with STM-3™. Check oil level as recommended by manufacturer and do not overfill.

Penetrating & Lubricating Fluid - add a drop or two of STM-3™ to rusted parts, air tools, chains etc. It's amazing !!

 1- Have engine (equipment) warmed up to operating temperature.

2- If possible add product with engine running, if blow by is present shut engine off, add product and immediately start engine after adding product,bring your engines rpm's up to 1500-2000 RPM and hold for 2-3 minutes. This procedure will ensure that STM-3™ products coat the entire engine, as STM-3™  products do not mix with your oil ! The oil is only a carrier of the product and as the oil is circulated STM-3™  will coat the metal. Now continue to run engine for no less than 2 hours,     
For best results. (Do Not Shut Engine Off) for at least 2 - 4 Hours after adding STM-3™  to your oil preferably prior to a full days work. It is not necessary to add STM-3™ to new oil. Add STM-3™  to oil and operate for at least 50 hours before changing oil and filter.
